Self-taught, then put to work
I'm Simon Duffy, a founder and operator based in College Station, Texas. I started out hiring marketing agencies for my own business and got burned twice — big promises, generic work, no results. So I taught myself the whole stack instead: web development, local SEO, Google Business Profile, paid ads.
That turned into Soft Hands Marketing, where I work almost exclusively with blue-collar service companies — excavation, land clearing, dirt work, pressure washing, fabrication, restoration. These are owners who do excellent work and lose jobs to competitors who simply show up first on Google.
Alongside that I co-founded Aperian Solutions, a pay-per-lead agency, and I build custom software and AI tools for small operators — lead trackers, automated prospecting systems, and front-desk automation that catches the calls owners miss while they're in the field.
I'm also a student at Texas A&M University, running all of it from College Station.
